Integral City Asset Developers

Who are City Asset Developers?

Integral City Developers have the power and perspective to meshwork designers, creative talent, and knowledge brokers. A meshwork consortium might include not only architects, contractors and builders but also prospective purchasers, 4Q8L Think Tanks, special interest groups and global sustainability experts.

Developers have long had the privilege in the construction industry of working with partnerships, where the creation of project specific design, plan, resource, build teams is normal. However, Integral City Developers go beyond the traditional development approaches and anticipate for their projects future human motivations as well as future material needs. They use natural design principles and 4Q8L frameworks to do so.

But to start with, how do Developers know with whom and how to create complex meshwork consortiums? Here is a 12 step (x 2) process for discovering how to develop these meshworks.

Read through (and answer) the questions once to describe current or past meshwork partnerships. Read through (and answer) the questions a second time, substituting the words in parentheses, to discover the desired qualities of future meshwork partnerships.

12 Questions to Discover Meshwork Participation

  1. Who is/have been (ought to be) meshwork partners?

  2. What is/has been (ought to be) the purpose of meshwork partnering?

  3. What is/have been (ought to be) the meshwork partnership's measure(s) of success?

  4. Who is/has been (ought to be) the meshwork decision maker (has power to change what gets measured)?

  5. What conditions/components are/were (ought to be) controlled by the meshwork decision maker?

  6. What conditions/components are not (ought not to be) controlled by the meshwork decision taker? (i.e. what is the decision maker's environment?)

  7. Who is/has been (ought to be) actually involved as planner/designer of the meshwork partnership?

  8. Who is/has been (ought to be) involved as meshwork expert? What kind of meshwork expertise?

  9. Who is/has been (ought to be) the guarantor(s) of the meshwork partnership? (Those that ‘guarantee' to support implementation based on political, theoretical and empirical evidence)

  10. Who may be affected, without being involved in the meshwork? (Who of the affected ought to be involved in the meshwork?)

  11. In what way are (ought ) those affected by the meshwork partnership, given the chance of improvement from the premises and promises of the involved (eg. partners, experts)?

  12. What dominant assumptions/worldviews is (ought to be) actually underlying the design of the meshwork partnership (see Figure 1)? How can these be naturally aligned?
