Early Winter Solstice Greetings, Integral City-zens and Friends of Integral City

Today's Integral City Sparkie for the City Mesh:

We human beings are at our best … when we are engaged in the act of transforming the corners of the world in which we live – in the act of history making… to be a history-maker in action, a world-weaver in the very act of weaving the world.
Kimura, Y. G. (2000) Think Kosmically, Act Globally, Waynesboro, Virginia, The University of Science & Philosophy, p. 31

The theme for this newsletter is world weaving.

1.  I have just returned from a cruise that took me from Venice across the equator to Rio de Janeiro. I visited three continents, fifteen cities, eight countries, uncounted cultures and sub-cultures and six+ languages. As I contemplated the feast of human systems through which I sailed, I tested the maps of Integral City and captured these impressions:

·        Seeing  the city as a whole interconnected to other wholes reveals the emergent, evolving system

·        Seeing systems reveals interconnections and non-linearity

·        Non-linearity helps us to live with, prepare for and anticipate the unexpected

·        Having muscles for the unexpected creates resilience

·        Resilience means greater adaptability

·        Greater adaptability means greater survivability

·        Greater survivability means more joy, expansion, creativity, potential.

With these thoughts, I wish everyone a full basket of joy, expansion, creativity and potential for world-wide solstice season celebrations.
